Creating Policy Status

It is possible to add a Policy Status on the Lead. A Policy Status is how to can track events regarding a policy on a lead. This is important because any one lead can have multiple policies and this is an easy method of knowing what is happening with each policy. While the system has standard statuses, additional custom Policy Statuses can be added, as needed. When adding a Policy Status always check to make sure the Policy Status doesn't already exist and is hidden within the system or if there is an alternative that could meet the requirements.

 

 

  1. From Settings select Policy Status

  1. At the top, select Add Field

 

 

  1. Enter the Name and Description of the new Policy Status. 

    1. The name is always lowercase with an underscore for spaces

  1. Policy Statues have many different types of customizations under the General Tab.

    1. Button Icon - The ability to select an Icon that will appear before the status name.

    2. Button Color - Select a color, other than white, so that the button is segregated or easy to spot.

    3. Stamp Policy Date - Selects what type of date should be stamped on the policy (Interrupted, Kicked, Sold, etc).

    4. Stamp Date Rules - Can be used to stamp the date on the change or the date when a different status is selected.

    5. Policy States Visible - Allow for the Policy Status to appear only at specific stages. 

      1. Leaving blank will make status appear at all stages.

    6. Stamp Date Issued - just stamps the date the status was marked.

    7. Set Effective Date to First of Next Month if not Set - The effective date will be the first of the month if not otherwise specified. 

    8. TLDialer - allow for Change in List Disposition or to add to a FPG

  2. Save Field to complete set-up
