Tags
Tags are a way to store additional information about a Lead without permanently modifying the Lead data. They are like labels that can be attached to a Lead to help categorize and organize them. Think of them as sticky notes that can be added and removed easily.
To create tags go to Settings and select Tags
Select the green Plus (+) at the top of the screen to begin creation
Fill in the appropriate fields of the New Tag creation
Name - short name style lower-case
Description - Description/name of Tag
Type - The 3 options typically used are:
Lead - Tag will show on the Lead
Policy - Tag will show on the Policy
Global - Can be accessed everywhere
Category - Tag “group” that can be used to filter for multiple tags at once.
Status - Determines how a tag can be used and whether it’s active.
Active/Inactive - Whether tags are visible (in use) or not in filters.
Add - Allows you to add the tag to the Lead. Individual or mass edit.
Remove - Allows you to remove the tag from the Lead. Individual or mass edit.
Drop - REMOVES ALL TAGS on an entity if the attached tags allow the “Drop” action.
Manual mode - Determines if the Tag can be added and/or removed by the User or if it will not be selectable.
In some cases there is a Tag icon next to the Lead ID which will indicate what Tags are currently on the Lead. The policy tags show at the bottom of the policy near the “tags” icon. Tags are simply markers on a Lead and multiple tags can be used to track specific issues as pending and completed or they may forgo tracking completion and simply remove the pending tag representing the issue.
Tags can also be automated to automatically appear on a Lead or Policy based on Triggers in the configuration settings of each status type which is the most common practice; however, Tag automation on Policy changes can also be configured on the Settings - Options menu in the Contact Form Tab.
Tags can also be added through a Vendor Source by selecting the Automation tab on the Vendor Source. Campaigns do not have this capability.
It is also possible to add Images to the Tag. The image will appear at the top of the lead and can only be added/updated by Tier 2/Operations. Submit a Support Ticket for more assistance.
An example is FEMA.
It is possible to view what Tags have been used or what needs to be addressed from Logs and selecting Tags. Here you would filter by specific Tag ID’s, Users and dates.
Tag Icons
an Icon can display an image if you so desire.
This requires the image to be hosted elsewhere on the internet, such as wordpress, imgur, or any other site with image hosting. TLD cannot host these images.
Under Settings → Options → Contact Form, go to “Info Icons”
Enabled set to yes means it will show.
The Icon Image Path is the URL that you are hosting the image on.
The image that is provided will potentially be crushed down to 30x70 px , so please consider that when choosing an image.
Under the Filters tab, you can choose what tag this icon will show for.
If no filter criteria is selected, the Icon will show on every single lead.
Below is an example of how it will look on a lead.
