Adding number(s) to the DNC
SMS Opt Out & TLDialer DNC
We were recently notified about a new FCC Ruling related to SMS Opt-Out and Autodialing DNC Rules.
Due to the requirements from the FCC, if someone Opts Out from Text Messaging (Not Double Opt-In Opt Outs, only Hard Opt-Outs) the system will now add them to the Dialer’s DNC List.
The inverse is also true, if they re-opt in via SMS, they will be removed from the DNC.
the DNC Logs will show When and how they opted out, including if it was via SMS.
You can of course Manually Remove them from the DNC. Just remember, all DNC Additions and removals are logged in the system with a timestamp, reason and who added or removed them for auditing purposes.
There are two ways to add a number to the DNC
Option 1:
Enter the Lead ID or phone number in the search field at the top of the screen.
On the right side you will find Lead Statuses, select the Red No Not Contact Icon.
You should get a message at the bottom of the window that confirmed the number was added to the DNC and the lead is now marked Do Not Contact.
Option 2:
If the number has not been contacted but still needs to be added to the DNC you can manually add it under TLDialer and select DNC.
This will show you all numbers currently on the DNC. To add a number select the upload button for the top menu.
A new box will appear with options to add, remove, replace, or flush numbers. Select Add Numbers.
For campaign, choose System DNC and in the dialog box below enter the number(s) requested to be added to the DNC.
Once the numbers have been entered, select Update Numbers to save changes.
