Removing number(s) from the DNC
SMS Opt Out & TLDialer DNC
We were recently notified about a new FCC Ruling related to SMS Opt-Out and Autodialing DNC Rules.
Due to the requirements from the FCC, if someone Opts Out from Text Messaging (Not Double Opt-In Opt Outs, only Hard Opt-Outs) the system will now add them to the Dialer’s DNC List.
The inverse is also true, if they re-opt in via SMS, they will be removed from the DNC.
the DNC Logs will show When and how they opted out, including if it was via SMS.
You can of course Manually Remove them from the DNC. Just remember, all DNC Additions and removals are logged in the system with a timestamp, reason and who added or removed them for auditing purposes
There are two ways to remove a number from the DNC. Only Admins have the ability to remove numbers once they have been added.Â
Option 1:
Enter the Lead ID or phone number in the search field at the top of the screen.
On the right side you will find Lead Statuses, select the blue Remove from DNC.
You should get a message at the bottom of the window that confirmed the number was removed from the DNC and the lead is now updated.
Option 2:
Under TLDialer select DNC.
This will show you all numbers currently on the DNC. To remove just one number you can click the Red X to the left of the number. This will automatically update the DNC and update the Lead.
To remove multiple numbers, search for and select the check box to the left of the number(s) and select the Red X at the top of the screen. This will remove the number(s) from the DNC and update the Lead.
