Inbound vs Outbound Campaigns

  • Outbound Campaigns: an Outbound Campaign can dial Leads from a list of potential customers. When a Lead answers, the call is routed to a salesperson who can pitch the product or service.

    • Note that there are typically no Outbound Only campaigns. The name normally associated with this type of dialing strategy is Outbound Mixed. While the name may be confusing, it just indicates that an Outbound Campaign has the ability to receive returned (RT) calls and/or the ability to transfer to Queues (Transfer Ingroups). Agents will see themselves in READY for Outbound Campaigns.

    • For naming conventions 20’s are utilized for Outbound Campaigns but alternative number may be used on an as needed basis

  • Inbound Campaigns: Inbound Campaigns do not dial outbound and instead dictate which Ingroups can route calls to users logged into it. Agents will see themselves as CLOSER in Inbound Campaigns.

    • This type of Campaign also includes the ability to transfer calls to a specific preset or transfer group, receiving returned calls, and the ability to make outbound calls as needed.

    • For naming conventions 10’s are utilized for Inbound Campaigns but alternative number may be used on an as needed basis

Campaigns are a powerful tool that can be used to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of call center operations. By automating the dialing and routing of calls, TLDialer can help agents to connect with more Leads and close more deals.
