Double opt-in is a two-step process for subscribing to receive system generated messages from the clients when using TLMessenger. System generated messages are often sent using triggers on Lead Status updates and/or Policy Status updates. This Double Opt-In does not impact conversational messages sent by the User to the Customer through the leads TLMessenger feature.

  • Initial Sign-Up: A system message is generated and an automatic Opt-In message is sent to the customer requesting approval to receive messages from our client

  • Confirmation Step: The customer receives a message containing a confirmation of the Opt-In and instructions on how to be removed should the need arise.

  1. Scroll down to Double Opt-In and set to Yes for enabled. 

    1. If enabled, the system will NOT send automated text messages from any source other than the TLMessenger Chat Window. Please Note: If a client customer has Opted Out using the default Opt Out keywords, the Opt-in will be ignored in favor of the Opt-out List and no text messages will be sent to that number.
